xpost and OT: Team Challenge kickoff
My usual strategy for coping with stress/anxiety is to do something about it; latest stressor has been fundraising for Team Challenge. So in addition with posting threads on OH, emailing/messaging everyone I know under the sun, mailing letters to every professional contact I have, I’ve figured out a new strategy: ask my relatives in lieu of Christmas & birthday gifts, to donate to my fundraising site! I thought that was kinda novel strategy. Hope it works! We had the Kickoff party last night and our coaches said not to be worried about only having 1 donation so far. That actually made us the first fundraisers so far (thanks to Joyce!!!!!) and we won a Team Challenge sweatshirt for getting a jump on the fundraising – woo hooo!!!
Still training at 4 miles, not steady running but kinda interval. I really gotta invest in a chronometer…. It’s so hard to figure out my steady pace when training outside!
Oh, and if ANYONE reading this post has friends/family/exorbitant wealth, PLEASE donate to our site: http://www.active.com/donate/gwdcLV12/dcNFarris
