Neighbor is cramping my style

Just gotta vent about this..... My downstairs neighbor approached my husband this evening and told us that my morning runs on the treadmill were disturbing his sleep. Because apparently when you're retired and can sleep in till whenever, that's more of a commodity than I realize.
While I usually try to be a good neighbor, I really don't want it to hamper my progress on training for the 1/2 marathon! So I guess I gotta suck it up and run outside. Not too thrilled about it but since I'm a morning person, I really can get in more mileage in the am instead of running after work. So if I'm struck by a car crossing the road or murdered/chopped up in the state park, it'll be all my lovely neighbor's fault!!! (no, not looking for advice here. Just sympathy. Like "you poor thing. Now get your ass on the trail!").

are you back from your outside run yet?

Neighbors can be a pain... if you can't run, you probably have to vacuum and move furniture and stuff for exercise.

Just sayin'

Went out with the hubby, who's slightly behind in training, this evening so we just jogged/walked. But, did a total of 2.75miles in total today, so it's all good :) Will be running outside at the ass-crack of dawn though tomorrow!!!

Well, depending on the hour, I'd tell him to suck it up...

But, the benefit is running outside will probably help you train better. At least for me, I just recently started doing all my runs outside and off the TM in preparation for a half, and I feel like it's making a big difference in my overall fitness and running. I dont think I was challenging myself enough on the TM inside (too lazy to increase the incline a little) and I wasn't getting the experience of the rough road/terrain by running inside so when I'd actually go to run outside, I could barely do half the distance and/or speed that I was doing on the TM.

Congrats on your training - I dont know about you, but im excited and looking forward to my 1st half at the end of October!

Yeah, me running at 6:30am is probably a bit too early for "normal" people. For those who have cats who wake them up at 5:30a for breakfast, though, it's peak training time!
Our 1/2 is in Las Vegas, so if I'm doing running in hilly Maryland, I'll probably be ahead of the curve! I guess that's one way to turn lemons into lemonade. Good luck on your 1/2!!!
