Cooling Towels

I was recently introduced to these marvels.  A lady at my boot camp class cuts the Frogg Togg towel into strips and wears the strip around her neck.  She gave me a strip one day and I was amazed at how cool it was.

What I didn't like was the plasticy- chemically smell (still there after washing).  I bought two Grabber Magic Cool "Cooling" Towels-these are more like cloth, less like plastic.  But...they really don't work as well s the Frogg Toggs.  I used one yesterday when I was running.....and it was about like having wet paper towels with me.

So-are there any other options out there that really cool well?  And is there a way to get that smell out of the Frogg Togg towels??

My Frog Tog doesn't smell. I was told to add a little bleach to the water and wa**** in you washing machine, but DO NOT put in the dryer. I actually keep mine stored in my refrigerator so it has never dried out. I use it a lot when I plat golf or tennis and keep it in a bag or cooler of ice and bring it out every 15 minutes and use it around my neck or lay it on m legs.

I haven't found anything that works any better.
