5K NSV with Pic
Yesterday I ran my first 5K since surgery with 3 of my girlfriends... awesome ladies who have been there for me since way before surgery.
My goal for a walk/jog was 45 minutes... I came in at 40:48!
I have to say as I turned the corner and saw the time clock was only at 40 minutes when it felt like it should have been more like 50, I started to cry. I was so proud of myself, and when I looked up and saw my hubby smiling with the camera, I just felt so accomplished, loved and supported. Knowing that my last 5K at 330+ lbs was over an hour, it just made me realize how much this surgery and new lifestyle has changed my life. Best NSV to date!
