Sign up for a 5k that is on Aug 11th after having VSG on 6-25.   I'm already walking 1 1/2 miles most days so if nothing else, I think I could walk it.  How far out were most of y'all before you did that much?

That is six weeks out.  You could probably walk it.  I was walking two miles at that point.  But I do remember not being able to do a whole lot physically until I was 8 weeks without suffering somen pain from it.

I did one at 8 weeks out.  6 weeks I was just able to get back into it and I was MUCH slower/weaker than I had been before surgery.  Honestly I'd give it a couple more weeks but if you were just going to walk I know you could definitely finish but you may not be happy with your time.

This forum is all about doing things that may seem crazy at first but really are quite doable with some dedication and effort

I would say it is doable. All the efforts will pay off!

I think walking it would be fine.
