question for the runners out there

Hi -

I started running back in October of last year.  Did the c25k, then started a "35 week to a marathon" program.  I'm now at the point that I'm running 9 miles on my long run (should be 10 this Sunday per the training schedule).  I am finding that I have "more in the tank" on my long runs - ending strong on them with a feeling that I could keep going.

My question is this:  there's a local half marathon on June 10th.  Given that my longest run to date is 9 miles, is it totally crazy to try to do this half or is it doable?

It is doable, when I train for a half my longest runs are 10 miles. Have fun!

Absolutely!!! Register NOW!

Two reasons:
1) a 10 miler is my longest ever training run for a half

2) even if you aren't able to run it all (which I bet you can!!), nobody cares if you have to walk thru the waterstops or even take a breather - the point is starting and finishing! : )

Be happy.

You will come to learn that this is not a place you come to for people to say no if something is doable.

There is plenty of time to be ready.
