WOW Did it

 Stayed up until midnight and signed my husband and I up to do the Army 10 miler.  I thought he'd already done it but he hadn't.  Boy is that NOT cheap $180 for the 2 of us.  But I'm super excited to get training for this.  My only goal is to finish in under 2 hours.

In the 10 min it took me to register myself and my husband over 5k people signed up.  There will be over 20k running the race, so by far my biggest race.

I stayed up until midnight and got IN as well. Hubby already got in on priority registration 2 weeks ago. I know all about the not cheap thing, hubby and I have done triathlons together, as well as half and full marathons, and its a pretty big hit to take at once. Though I must say, not as big of a hit as when both of us bought brand new bikes in February. This race caps out at 30,000 people

 I thought hubby had already done it (as he was supposed to transfer it if I didn't get it) but when I mentioned I was staying up till midnight to purchase it, he sais oh **** I forgot.  So I got it for both of us.  He ran it last year, and we got VIP passes, so I'm hoping we get that again as I get really motion sick on the metro and can't take dramamine before a race!

Did you vote for your fav. shirt?  We upgraded our shirts this year as last year the one that came with registration was really crap and shrunk like mad so my husband can't even wear it.

last year 22k actually ran it so apparently 8k don't show.  The amount that don't show is bigger than what will be my biggest race by then.

I didn't upgrade the shirt, this is my 3rd year of doing races and I have 2 drawers stuffed to the brim with race shirts, mostly tech shirts, so I have plenty and its not worth the money to me to upgrade to a tech shirt. Hubby and I might buy a nicer clothing item at the expo though, I know he wants a jacket.

 I get that.  It's just my first year and Artie was upset about last year so we upgraded.  I'm sure we won't do it again if we're here next year.  I just want to get all the free MIO they had last year.  We go through that in our house like mad.  My first race didn't give a t-shirt (beer mug) so I'm still t-shirtless.
