drinking while running
CONGRATS! on finishing your first half!
When I do longer races I carry my own hydration and find it easier to drink out of a sports bottle than a cup. If I have to stop at an aid station on a shorter run like a 5K in a sprint I will walk and drink as I get to much air anyother way.
Leg crapms probably was some dehydration.

I notices that if I try and suck the fluid out of a sport container I get too much air. So, I have adjusted my drinking to hold the bottle higher than my mouth and squeeze the fluid into my mouth, this way very little air gets in, and I control the air if some does get in by swishing it in my mouth prior to swallowing. Sounds difficult, but it really isn't. It truly has helped me get fluids in and not take in air.
Good luck, and congratz on your first half marathon, hopefully you have the bug.
Keep on running.
