Just pumped about finishing my couch to 5K program!  Two months ago I couldn't run for more than two minutes at a time; today I ran an uninterrupted 30 minutes!!

A real 5K race in a month - amazing!!!

Thanks for everyone's support. :)  I have to say, I was pretty dubious when I started!

Keep up the great work. It's a good program to get you moving, now that you have the running bug, keep it going. Enjoy your first 5K next month, and let us know how it goes.

Yeah, you are faster then me, I just hit my personal best of 3.1 in 36 mins outside, I basically am a glorified power walker LOL I have my first race next Sunday (a 5k), then one the next Sunday (5 miles), then the next Saturday I am running though the Lincoln Tunnel into NY (5k). This is my month to try and kill myself, after that I don't have another one until June (my first 10k).

Ah well, be sure to look at the run pace for accuracy - with this app, it includes a 5-min warm up and 5-min cool down in the distance calcuation, so that can be a bit deceiving - but the run, walk, and total paces are accurate.

Congratulations Ruggie, I'm so happy for you. I use to love to run. I've done quite a few 5k and 10k runs years ago. Some were over the Huey P. Long and Crescent City Connection bridges here in the New Orleans area. I no longer do them, need 2 knee replacements, but after losing almost 80lbs walking is alot easier and I'm happy with that. Good luck on your  5k.
