GPS...Walking around in a loop??

So all I have is my old Tom Tom.  I want to see how much I walk during a work day.  If I go around in circles will it tell me how far I've walked...even if it's back and forth??  No, I don't have a smart phone or web phone.  When my old phone breaks, I'll probably get a web access phone...But I'm cheap OK!!  If I did have a smart phone/web phone, which app would be good for charting walks in circles??  Do any do that??  Thanks...Brian

Does your Tom Tom have a trip feature where it logs total trip distance?  If so, then yes it will track total mileage.  Some have it and you have to reset the trip to zero.

Don't know about the Tom Tom, but I like the Strava app or the Mapmyride app for tracking my progress when I forget my GPS.

if it's indoors, it may not work at all, since it relies on satellite.

I just started using mapmyrun on my phone and I love it.  Tracks your distance, speed, estimates calories burned.  It also tracks on a calendar so you can see by week how many miles you've gone.

It might not be very accurate. A lot of gps are only accurat to 15 feet. So the walking around you do in the office might not register too well -- assuming you can get satelitte coverage in the office.
