Half-way through Couch-to-5K program

Hey -

What do you runners think of this?  I'm now half-way through my couch to 5K program.  (I love my little app!)  But I have no idea how 'good' I'm doing since I'm so new to running.  Is my pace good, bad?  Does it even matter?

Thanks for any input.

Looks pretty darn good to me and don't you just love the way it tightens up your butt? LOL

You're getting faster so that's good. If you finish your first 5K doing 10:00 min miles, you'll be in the top 50% of your age group most likely. I think t hat's pretty darn good and you seem on your way to that sort of finish. Heck, I did my first 5k at 11:45 min miles and I was still in the top 50% of my age group. Though I did get beaten by a dog. And a kid in a stroller. LOL

Well, dogs have four legs!  That's easy for them!

The stroller... may be another matter....

Thanks for your feedback!

I loved the couch to 5k program! The app is so motivating. I did the program then ran a 4 mile race in Central Park at midnight on New Year's Eve. It was awesome! I'm a very slow runner - like a 12:00 minute mile still- but it's better to be able to finish then try to go fas and burn outt. Best of luck!

I think you're doing great! I've been running since last summer and I'm still way slower than you. This morning I ran a little over 4 miles at a 12.27 pace. Certainly not fast by anyone's standards but I have fun and always feel great when I'm done. IMHO, just getting out there and running is a huge accomplishment regardless of speed!

I just started last week. I didn't realize there was an app. I'll have to check it out. Keep up the good work

Looks great to me! Today I finished week 2 run 2. I am slow. Very. Slow. I am happy to finish each work out, loving the app and the button on the treadmill that lets me switch between my walking and jogging pace. I am signed up for a 5k mud run on the 31st. My goal is to finish, and not be last.
