Achilles irritation
Hi guys, I need some advice. I have an injury that I have never had before. I have a very irritatied achilles tendon. You can feel tendon sliding and how rough it is when I flex and extend my foot. It is more of an achy feeling that progresses to discomfort through out the day. I did this about a week ago and thought I could just push through it. I have been walking 3.5-4 miles every other day and doing the C25K in the process. I have taken the past 3 days off (and I am hating it) to use heat and voltaren gel on it. Feels a bit better but still sore in the afternoon. Is this something that I need to rest until the discomfort is gone?? Had anyone else had this issue? I don't want to end up in a brace for 3 months but I dont want to completely suspend training if I dont have to. I appreciate any feedback!!!
