Awesome 2100 meters in the pool in 59 minutes. I am not an elegant swimmer but I am getting it done!

Just started training for my first 5k. I'll be walking it but the entire 5k consists of going up a really big steep bridge then turning around and walking back.   A few  months ago I wouldn't have dreamed of trying this!   So, I'm cranking on the treadmill at the steepest incline for as long as I can can.   I live in the coastal flatlands so walking outside just won't get me where I need to be.

Oh, I'm still lifting too. :)

3.2 miles on the treadmill in 29:01. I was really trying for a sub 29 minute time and missed it by two lousy seconds. I've been mad about it all afternoon! Is that the silliest thing to get worked up over or what?

Kicked up the speed to see if I could sustain for a 5K race and actually race the distance and just not jog. The results: I am getting faster. Oh I did actually 4 miles total. After I finished the three I did a mile recovery jog. WOOT!!!
