Greetings, this is my first post on the fitness forum! I'm 6 weeks post-op and today I plan on doing 30 minutes on the elliptical. I also just signed up for a 5k (I'll walk it) for 12/31/11! I'm so excited to finally get to be fit and pursue a healthy lifestyle!

Welcome!  Today is my second day with a post for this forum.  I am 6 years post op!  Today I hauled it out at 6:00 and did a 30 minute walk and then worked out my upper body with light weights.

Unfortunately for me, with a bad heart, I cant work out like most of the folks on here (jealous of the runners... I've always dreamed of being able to run)... but what I CAN to is walk ... and today.. that goal was accomplished!

And good job to all of those who posted their Monday workouts!  You are definately an inspiration.

Rode errands on my bike; bank, pay the gas bill, coffee shop, store, friend's house...Then home.  About 8 miles total.  Coldness ripped through me...

 rest day, having some hip issues. Seeing an Ortho tomorrow. Feels like it might be a Hip Flexor thing.
