What to wear

Sunday's forcast for the White Rock Marathon is for temp in the low 40s, wind out of the north and 40% chance of rain.

I am not sure on what to wear.  Don't want to wear too much, but don't want to freeze either.

Your thoughts on this would be welcome!

The turkey day half has the same temp forcast but no rain. I opted to wear fitted Bottoms and about half way through I wished I would have froze the hour leading into the race.

That's what I am afraid of!
May go to wal-mart and get some inexpensive bottoms that I can leave for the homeless folks.

i usually wear shorts unless it is something in the mid 30's and below.  If it is in the 40's and raining, i would probably wear a moisture wicking winter hat, gloves, arm warmers and a long sleeve tech shirt... that way if you get hot you can take off the hat, gloves and roll down the arm warmers as needed.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

Seriously though, I dont mind wearing compression tights with shorts over when it is cold. Also, I would recommend a light raincoat bro, supposed to pour on Sunday and be COLD. Get some Injinji socks to help avoid blisters, and have fun dude. I love running in the rain!

wear your normal running gear and then throw on a goodwill sweatshirt something you don't mind losing.

Lots of people will start with that stuff on because it's cold, by the time you get to the first aid station or even before you are hot or warm.  Just ditch it at the aid station.

Last year they collected all of those throw aways and donated them to the good will.  So consider it something for you and a good deed for someone else who might need it.
