Just a reminder that the Disney Marthon - 1/2 Marathon weekend is rapidly approaching.

This is a reminder about next years Disney Marathon and 1/2 Marathon

Imagine a weekend of runs where every mile is filled with Disney fun at the 2012 Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend presented by CIGNA on January 5-8, 2012. Join us for a weekend of races that are magical as they are memorable, from Disney's Health & Fitness Expo to running through all four Theme Parks in the Marathon and all-new Marathon Relay. Complete with medals of Mickey Mouse and his friends, you'd be, well, goofy to miss it

The excitement is building. There are just a couple of months left until the 2012 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend! As promised, we wanted to check back in and share some more training tips and information that will help make your experience truly one to remember. And if you want to register for another race, now's the time...they're filling up fast!

Be sure to look for your race number and waiver information in the next email we send you. You'll need to download an important form and bring it with you to the Expo to receive your race number.

Pasta in the Park Party
You still have a chance to join us at Epcot® for the "Pasta in the Park Party" featuring a buffet pasta dinner, VIP viewing to the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth fireworks spectacular and more from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 5.

agreed, i'm not too keen on pasta either.  let's try to plan on an early dinner (5pm or so), could be anywhere really (off campus too).  saturday morning is the earliest wakeup call for the goofy.

I'm freaking out about this race as I'm under orders not to workout until I stop getting headaches and at this rate I am going to  lose 3 weeks of training!

I'm not taking this race super seriously.  I will run when I can and walk when i can't.
I see this as a fun event.  I plan to get my picture taken with every Disney character I can find along the course.  I'm still training, but I really don't know what to expect, I have never done the marathon before so it's all part of my vacation adventure.
