Is it possible to exercise enough to firm/tone to avoid surgery?

I am joining a gym on Monday and I'm 10 weeks out. I am about 50 pounds to goal and have lost 64 since March. I know everyone is different but will exercise help?

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on genetics and conditions of your skin based on your starting weight, how long you were overweight, etc. If you want a flat stomach and no loose skin, you need to have surgery.

Exercise affects the muscles but cant do anything for the skin.

I have been reading that alot on the internet. It does depend on your age. If you gained your weight before thirty, then your body will respond well. We will never have a perfectly flat stomach may be an inch of loose skin. I am 13 weeks post op. Good Luck....:)
