crap mandatory break
Saw the doc today about my foot pains I have been having.
I have a couple little things going on, I do have a bone spur, I also have some inflamation of the Achiles heel and possibly some plantar issues.
So they want me to stretch and ice it for the next week, as well as them wanting me to wear orthotic inserts from now on.
They said if it feels better after a week of rest and stretching i can start running again.
That gives me a little setback in the marathon training plan.
Not insurmountable, but it is a week that I will have to compensate for some how.

I have delt with a bone spur and plantars. The nice thing is with a lot of stretching and ice, it does get better. I haven't had any pain or issues in months.
I use the frozen bottles to roll under my feet - works for me.

Aww man, sorry to hear that Scott. But sometimes a little rest can have you bouncing back better than ever!

I've actually been cycling like this since late in the IM training, where I take a week almost off, some on purpose some because of various issues. I'm not sure its the worst thing in the world to do. I guess we'll see Sunday where I am as I have a half marathon.

I hate when stuff interferes with the training plan. Hopefully the week off will let you recover fully so you come out of it even fitter!
