Curves/Bowflex question
After my RnY 14 months ago, I took up with Curves. It was okay for a couple months but I hated going so I dusted off the Bowflex we purchased a year prior and created a similar workout. Curves was great kick start but I didn't love it. I do love the Bowflex.
So, I mimicked the Curves routine and ran on my mini trampoline for 30 seconds in between each interval. The Bowflex literature said to do 3 sets 12, slowly. I opted not to and did each exercise more quickly and in greater numbers. Eventually I added jogging to my routine instead of the trampoline which is more interesting and a benefit to my dogs as well. :-)
My question is simple: Does speed matter one way or the other or is it merely a safety issue?
TIA and if anyone else uses a Bowflex, would you message me please?

Speed can matter, because it can cause improper form.
Also the negative resistance is important, so when you are releasing the weight, if you are just dropping it or letting it down fast, you aren't getting the full benefit of the negative resistance.
