what do you all think of this story?  I find it a bit demenaing, and think that while the guy may get back in shape, he still won't undertand the mind and emotions of the obese person, which is what he really is searching for.

It was demeaning! Anything to make a buck!  A great personal trainer has the heart and soul to teach have compassion and push with love and respect, not eat a ton, get fat and then lose!

Nothing I hate more than folks who say- I know what it's like to be fat..."I was overweight once".

Once, ONCE! I was obese for most of my life, that does not compare to little gimmicky experiences or being a chubby child.

Plus,I would much rather trainers do less sympathizing and more research on the most effective ways to build muscle and lose fat instead of wasting time with the "I understand" bull.
