Forget the Publix Marathon! Come do the Jacksonville Bank Marathon with me and Joel instead! Its completely flat and voted one on the 10 fastest marathon in the country.

But seriously, I think you already know the answer. Go for it! Last years I signed up for my first marathon on a whim, and despite lack of properly training for it I did fairly well. You got this, you know you got it. Go for it and don't look back.

"The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself"... I ran my first full to the date, 11 months after Gastric Bypass. YOU are way ahead of where I was at when I registered for the full. Determine what YOU want, and follow what your heart tells you, not what other people have done or because you want to do something because everyone else does... Either race you pick, I know you will tear it up bro.

you know my answer too... the full.

now guess what?  my first half marathon was the turkey day one that we're doing, and my first full was?  the ATL publix full the following march (it was the ING marathon at the time).  you are already 1 half marathon further along than i was.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

I have always been freaked out by the idea of doing a full marathon. Not a half or even an Ironman, just the marathon. I'm not sure what my deal is but I signed up for one in early Dec. anyway. I figure once I get through it, I'll get over it.
