Yesterday, Sunday October 16, 2011, I completed my 1st Marathon, the Metro Health Grand Rapids Marathon in 4:43:37!  WOOHOO!

It's been awhile since I've posted here, but as I think about the last year, the weight loss, the return to fitness, and my running, I wanted to come back here and let you all know you were a "big" (pardon the fat pun) part of my accomplishing this.

It was from all of your posts and especially DAN BENINTENDI's that motivated me to start running and set the goal of running a marathon.  Thank you Dan and everyone else who shares and inspires others on this forum!

It is very easy to be overcome with emotion as I think of where I was and what I've accomplished over the past two years.  It has been a fantastic journey!

Get out there, stay active, and RUN ON!

Awesome job!  Now I am starting to feel the pressure .

I actually followed your times on FB and got a good chuckle when run keeper went hay wire and had you running a 4min pace.  I was like WHOA!! He found his inner Kenyan!

Again so proud and inspired by your accomplishments.
