What's your experience with LOSING MORE WEIGHT 18 months + from surgery?

I've long ago stopped losing weight and have settled at this 195 or 196lb norm.  I'm comfortable in my skin and my clothes, but I'm not content with being so darn close to 200lbs.

I do go to the gym and at this time of year I can say that I can commit to a routine of 3x a week at least.   I WANT TO KNOW and HEAR FROM anyone who may have come to a point where the weight loss stopped and then they IMPLEMENTED some type of routine or change in eating that helped them LOSE MORE after the 1 1/2 year out mark.  What did you do to turn it around or meet your goal?

Also, would love to hear from anyone who gained and LOST further out from surgery.

We are in the same boat.  I too am an avid exerciser (5-7 days a week).  I have plateaued and settled in around 210.  Hopefully someone can respond and jumpstart us!  Wish I could offer some advice, I can only say you are not alone.

I gain every winter and lose every spring. Been doing that for 3 years now.

The only difference is that I workout less in the winter and more in the Spring and Summer. If I am actively trying to lose, I might log my food and consciously cut back on the treats as well.

ETA But this is after I met my goal and maintained for a year. Before that I religiously logged every bite, lick and sip that passed my lips on an online food tracker like My Fitness Pal. I found that invaluable for figuring out what was going on whenever my weight loss slowed down or otherwise wasn't what I wanted it to be.

I have been struggling myself too.. it seems I play with the same 5 pounds every month for months..

I seem to do better when I manage my stress better.. sleep is important.. as of late its been really stressful..

I would like to lose another 10 pounds.. but it really hard.

If you want to lose and you seem to be maintaining. Drop the  calories to where you were 9 months out from surgery probably around 1200C a day. Pick up the exercise to more than 3 times a week, even if its just walking. The weight should start coming off again.  If your cheating with food you were told not to eat again like white breads, sugars, and fats, then its probably not helping.

Log your meals and track your actual exercise and you should be able to see why the pounds are nt coming off. Sooner or later you will hit your best weight, but it sounds like it hasn't happened yet based on your post.

Good luck and have fun exercising.
