Thanks again for the ecouragement everyone!!  I am excited about this new path I am embarking on and your support is very helpful.   I ordered some shorts last night and I have tons of t-shirts I can make do with for now.

Thanks! :)

I have to say, I am laughing at my vanity for assuming everyone would really be paying attention to me at the gym.   I guess it isn't all about me after all!   LOL

I can echo everyone here, and heck, there are still days I walk in worried about how I look compared to all the hardbodies ****il I slap myself).  Like Bill said, everyone is usually so into their own thing they really aren't thinking what you think they are.  As I lost the weight, I also find I am most encouraged and impressed when I see folks early on in their jounrney like I was pushing themselves.

You're gonna do great, just get in there and get moving :)

My running shorts arrived in the mail today and I am hitting the gym at 5:30 tomorrow morning for the first time.   :)

Have you thought about Curves?  If there is one in your area, they are a great alternative.  Their slogan was "No makeup, no men, no mirrors!".

I had a Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Procedure in the Raleigh area on June 9th, 2011 by Dr. Moran.  www.alasurgery.com

I actually ended up joining a fantastic locally-owned gym.  Everybody there is laid back and friendly and I don't feel like I am in a meat market.   :)
