Saturday Workouts!!!
Just finished my "long" run for the week - 5 whole miles! I was pretty nervous but did okay. In the end my hips were so tired but I guess that's to be expected. If the weather and my knee keep cooperating like this, I don't think I'll have any trouble being ready for the 10K in mid-November.

I did a 45 minute class (well, there were only two of us and a trainer) consisting of weights, cardio and resistance training. It was fun.
I got slow on one set of squats (squat, turn, squat, turn...end up going the length of the room), and leg lifts from bent knee to chest and back to bent knee (I forgot what he called it)...that was the only excercise I completely stopped twice because my parts started screaming "What in THE hell are YOU doing NOW???"
I had fun. The trainer offers the class twice a week, and I am planning to take it when I finish my six week committment with my trainer. It's cost effective and quite the workout.
Did I mention I had fun?

Participated in an 8 hour Ultra Run today. As many loops you can do in 8 hours on a 1.08 mile loop.... Got 37 miles in just under 8 hours and took 8th overall...

10 mile long run. First 5 were a breeze last 5 I earned, felt every step and even the smallest hills, but I kept going and finished. Well I had to finish because it was an out and back and needed to get to my car.
1st of the day was chillin and cubscout stuff with my boys.
