what'dya mean you haven't done a marathon!  how many full IM have you done :)
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

It's not the same thing though. Just like doing the bike in an IM isn't like doing an Century ride.

Pacing and strategy are going to be different. Plus,  I think I can train traditionally for this one as my injury is much improved.

i plan on doing the same modified higdon's w/ running just 3 days a week, none back to bac****il the last 6 to 7 weeks with my medium and long runs back to back to prep for the goofy part of the race.  my 3 running days a week will be 1 day of speed (typically HIIT or Mile repeats), 1 day of tempo (medium run @ 110-120% marathon pace), and one LSD run @ marathon pace.

I just plugged my 5K TT time from Monday into the McMillian Run Calculator and came up with a 5:09 marathon time. Given that my marathon at IMC was 6:24, I'm not so sure I believe that.

It really is going to depend on my calf.

Yeah it says I should do a 4:38 Marathon based on my last 1/2 marathon time.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!

That seems reasonable.

It predicts my HM time as 2:26:36. I did 2:11 two years ago but that was before/during the injury. But if I could get back there, that's a 4:37:20 marathon time

I have this dream to qualify for the Boston Marathon some day. I only need 4:10 to do that. That seems doable.
