A new PR

So last night was this years running of the very first 5K I completed. Last year I completed (not ran) this in 46.5 minutes like 11 weeks after surgery. My goal this year was to simply beat my time from last year.

I have had so many PRs in the 5Ks I have done this past year that I know that the days of PRs are going to get fewer and farther between. My intention wasn't to set a new PR but it would be way cool if I could.

So this years time was 28:55 shaving something like 18 minutes off my time. I was able to sustain a sub 9:30 pace avg for each split with a negative split between the 2nd and 3rd mile. Crossing the finish line at 8mph, for me this is huge and I sustained a >= 7.5mph speed for the last .25 miles.

Now to rest up for Sundays 15K.

Thanks to everyone here for inspiring me to do more and push myself. Without people like you things like this probably wouldn't happen.
