10 PM and no workout thread????

i had a rest day after seeing the big 4 (Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer and Metallica) last night at Yankee stadium.. sitting behind some punks smoking something rather odd all night might have made me a bit weezy.

I did a 5k on the dreadmill. I was going to do it outside, but it was 95 degrees outside, and after running in that kind of weather all summer to get ready for ironman Louisville, I opted for indoor with AC. Made it a short day since I am doing a sprint tri on Saturday.

I ran/walked for 30 minutes. It was a pitiful little workout. Stupid left knee start hurting again. I guess running two days in a row is still a no-go for me.

if it makes you feel better, I almost never run back to back, even deep in Ironman training.  Not sure how I am going to work it for the Goofy challenge.  When I do back to back runs, my IT and shins always act up.

Thanks Andrew...that does make me feel better.  Not that I'm happy you have trouble, but it's good to know that even you vets go thru this type of thing.  I thought it was just because I was so out of shape.  It would sure be nice if that would change though so I could have a little more flexibility in my schedule.

well... the way I look at it, and I can't speak for you, but I spent 20 years abusing my body, especially my poor knees.  A few years of being in shape isn't going to change that.  You're right though, flexibility in schedule would really be nice.  On the other hand, triathlon training means you need to mix it up anyway :)
