Quick Question...
So I want to start running because i am thinking about signing up for a 10K, BUT I am running into a problem with extra skin on my stomach. It hurts my back when I am trying to run because it "flops" (TMI sorry) and it is really annoying. It's emberassing(sp?) because it makes a slapping sound when I am running. It discourages me a lot. What do you guys recommend to help my situation? I have every intention of getting a TT or something when the weight is gone but I can't run if I have to deal with this, it just hurts to much =(

Congrats on getting to your current place! Lots of hard work already done.
I'm not much...no not at all...into running. So, take that into considerations. LOL
Thought about cycling as an option? It might help you get the exercise you clearly are looking for without so much juggling and tousling.
I'm pre-op so maybe after I "get er done" and get some weight off I might reconsider the running thing. Really, I mean it.

Thank you! Actually I have done some Spin classes and I love them! I used to run back in middle school and I was on the cross country team even though I was the biggest girl there. I always came in last but I always finished a race. I love to race it is an amazing thrill! I want to be able to run again and race that race and my one and only goal at this point in time would be to not come in last =) I have always dreamnt of not being last in at least one race when I was in cross country and now I am going to work towards that goal.
And you never know once you start losing weight you might get the urge to just run! =)

I wear compression shirts all the time. You can get cheap ones at walmart or more expensive ua ones at sporting good stores. I wear a large to xl shirt but buy size small on them (if I can get it on and breathe then fits) I also tuck it into compression shorts to keep it from riding up on me.
No longer about weight , it's all about living.
Under Armor or similar compression clothing.
WalMart and Target both carry their own brands for about 10.00 a piece.
They help hold everything in place. The only downside is they make you sweat more.
I also at times use on of the elastic wraps, like one of these http://www.amazon.com/Neoprene-Abdominal-Cincher-Exercise-Trimmer/dp/B002TRH3I4
Same issue though, you will sweat like crazy where you have that thing.
But both of those do an excellent job of holding things in place. I have at times used both of them when I felt like I needed more support.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
Congrats on your weight loss!!
I definitely went the compression route early on, and a lot of people wear looser items over so as not to display lumps. If you do that, consider investing in moisture wicking tops since you will be sweating extra with the layers and cotton will just stick to you.
I feel lucky in that over the last year or so my skin has rebounded a bit, and I've filled in some muscle under my skin, and maybe I just used to the flopping, but I don't require the compression gear to be comfortable anymore.

Thank you so much!!
For the next month or so I am not too concerned about having another layer to cover me because I live in North Dakota and if you have ever been up here, it is super cold (today our low was 32 degrees and tomorrow it will be 28) So an extra layer or two would be ok I think but I will have to try to find a moisture wicking one. Do you have any advice for which brand or which one would work best? I sweat a lot without extra stuffs on lol.
And also, I only have a Wal-mart here which doesn't have very many options but I could buy online too I am just worried about it not fitting. Do you buy the men's compression shirts or are there women's ones? If I can't find any womens ones will men's compression shirts/shorts/pants work also?

I prefer to wear fitted/compression outfits too. For the bottom, my favorite pants are some capri length fitted pants from Old Navy (http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=71710&vid=1&pid=865652&scid=865652002). Not expensive or fancy but they are cute as can be and feel great. I like the ruching at the bottom too It makes them look more feminine. They def make me feel less aware of my giggling thighs and butt. On top I love something like this (http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/womens/activewear/brands/tek_gear/PRD~793117/Tek+Gear+Striped+Performance+Tank.jsp). It has a built in bra so I don't have to constantly wash my sports bras, is tight enough that if I wear my ipod on my collar it doesn't bounce around, and I love the sleeveless racerback design. I really don't like feeling sleeves when I'm exercising. I need ALL my focus to be on the run, not my annoying outfit! I don't really have any boobies though so I can get away with pretty much anything at the top, might be different for those that actually still have something up there. lol
