LOT's Of COOL New STUFF!!!

A bunch of cool new stuff this weekend:'

Exhibit A:

"Lucy" the Red Heeler & Beagle MIx is the newest member of the Benintendi Clan as of yesterday. She is already GREAT at running and I can't wait to hit the trails with her:

Exhibit B:

The most incredible / Expensive running shoes I have ever owned! Mizuno Wave Prophecy... Yeah Ummm, I am used to paying $100 - $130 for a solid pair of running shoes, but when the Jackball at the running store told me I HAD to try these things on, I did... $200 later, I was the proud owner, and had about 30 minutes to think of a good crock of crap to think up to dish out to my wife when I got home, explaining the reason I NEEDED these SO BAD! Well, I ran 22 miles in them today, and they are worth EVERY penny. Can't wait to run 100 Miles in them next month during my Ultra...

Exhibit C:

Since I sweat more profusely, and saltier than any other human I know, I have been searching for a solution for my electrolyte replacement issues. A very solid Ultra Buddy of mine told me he started sucking on Buillon cubes and recommended I try them. So on my long run today, I popped one in the kisser, and holy crap, I cannot find words to describe how awful it tasted, but I flushed it down slowly as it desolved with a lot of Water. Soon, it disipated and I will say I have NEVER felt better on a longer run. I averaged 9:55's for the entire 20 miles then on the last 2.22 miles, I averaged under 9's... I have NEVER negative split that strong in a longer run. So, the formula that works for me, as of today (Subject t change without notice or warning), Stinger GENSTING Honey Gels, Cytomax and Water, and Bouillon... It's only taken 3 years to find the right mix, but I hope this will work for my longer events like it did today.

Exhibit D:

On the 10th Aniversary of one of the worst days our nation has ever seen, we still ARE the greatest Nation on Earth, and are more United than ever. Maybe not with less problems, but a greater, deeper sense of unity as we trek through them. God Bless The USA and all the families of those who have cause to morn as a result of those terrible attacks on that dreaded day, and all those who have and continue to fight to protect and preserve those freedoms we ALL too often take for granted...

My wife like to make deals like that.  I buy a new set of bike wheels, she gets a new set of wheels with the car attached to them.

Cute puppy! Awesome shoes! 9/11 we will never forget! 10 years ago on this day I had just graduated high school and wonder what to do next, I saw the horrors on TV and felt it was my duty to join the military.
