I want more out of my body! What's the best way to get it?
I have a membership at the YMCA and I've been 'trying' to be consistent with 3 times a week, but seem to slip into the 2 times category more often than I should over the last couple of weeks. But, as the fall approaches and the summer busyness winds down, I'm hoping that I can become a bit more consistent with at leas 3x and maybe 4x a week.
My routine usually consists of an eliptical machine for 30 minutes and then the treadmill, but as of two weeks ago I decided to just do two eliptical machines on a resistance level of 5 for an hour (2 different machines). I've also toyed with doing the treadmill on high inclines for 20-30 minutes.
Now, here's what I'm most interested in...MY LEGS. My thighs and my glutes. I have some cellulite issues and my thighs have improved greatly since starting exercise, but I want to REALLY TIGHTEN AND TONE these thighs and glutes like never before WITHOUT BULKING THEM UP.
I do weight machines for my upper body and my arms to show up nicely. I do the inner and outter thigh press machines and have recently started doing the quad and hamstring machines.
Do any of you have any suggestions or experience with reshaping/toning the body? I have access to a bunch of things, but I want a realistic approach that I can stick with.

I've found doing non-machine exercises has helped me the most. Walking lunges (getting as low as possible with each lunge), squats, box step ups, kettlebell swings, etc. have been great! You may want to get a few sessions with a personal trainer to give you some guidance. Some of the isolation machines are really not going to help you and you can get more bang for your buck with some full body moves. Good luck!
