Successful Tri!!

 Hey all,
So happy to report that even though my time SUCKED, this past Sunday was a huge, huge success for me.  I have been struggling for about 2 years now with some pretty bad hypoglycemia/late dumping syndrome issues.  I thought about my first marathon and the lack of nutrition issues I had and realized it was time to get back to some basics.  I have been focusing on consuming more protein and have been staying away from Gatorade/Gu's.  Well, this Sunday it started paying off.  I never once dealt with any nutrition issue nor have I felt anything since the race.  My total intake was about 20 oz of G2 and a banana + water.  We'll see how it works out in Muskoka, but I may focus on natural foods (and less of them) to get me through the races with more energy!
As far as the race itself: even though my swimming has improved so much I paniced and sucked it up until the second lap.  On the bike I dropped my chain and discovered a colony of mosquitoes to feed while I was trying to get the wheel off and I also lost my water bottle.  The run was nice though!  My wife did the sprint that morning and ran/walked with me on my 10k.
My race schedule has been light, but it's starting to look like next year could be a great, great year!

Congrats on the finish and I hope you find that magical fueling window that plays games with us.

Good work out there.
