Thanks for all the good wishes.

I'm feeling better, but kind of like a boxer in a bad movie.  Where they have someone hitting you in the ribs while you do situps, a bit sore and I get tired easy, but it's getting better each day.

Damn, Scott - that DOES suck!  So thankful you received the medical attention when you did.

I had similiar experience last week: zero to doubled-over pain in record time.  I was lucky and only had a partial SBO, mine also from adhesions and because it was partial, there was no bowel strangulation.  After a NG to decompress the small bowel and an endoscope tor a look-see, it was back to the basics of liquids and soft food diet.

It was astonishing at how quick the onset of symptoms were.  Please take care of yourself.

I am creating my own revolution and PAMdemonium reigns!

Thanks Pam,

I'm glad they were able to resolve yours without surgery.  But I sure was glad they were doing something.  At that point I was so happy to be having surgery.  No fears, no concerns, cut me open and fix what is hurting please.

Scott,
I enjoy reading your posts and happy to read you are on the road to recovery. I am glad your wife took you to the ER and go to the root of the problem.  I look forward to your further updates

Hope you get back on track soon. That is certainly a scary situation. Luckily you responded quickly and got it resolved.

((((((((hugs))))))))) I am so sorry you went through this.
Good thing you had the presence of mind to go to the hospital! Yeah, it sucks that you gotta heal up now my friend, but thank God you're alive!

Rest, and then ease back into it. You'll be back into your full training and activity mode in no time!

Warmly,
Jackie
