My husband don't believe Tae Bo is exercise! WTH!
Somebody please give this man a reality check!
I told him any kind of movement is exercise, you are moving and burning calories! Even housework is a form of exercise! This is a debate in our house...I mean seriously?! He thinks walking is the only exercise I need!
Well in a way it's exercise I should be doing...every day if I wasn't so iffy about doing it! I rather do Tae Bo or Walk away the pounds then go out and walk 2 miles....but that's just me! If I have to do it I will but don't like being pushed to do it! Other than that I am exercising just indoors.

Tae Bo is exercise, just like walking, jazzercize, aerobics, zumba. Tell your husband to Google "tae bo". First thing it says is that it is an exercise.
I wouldn't count housework, unless you are doing furniture moving, heavy duty cleaning - things that aren't part of your normal daily activity.
so, in my humble opinion, walk, tae bo, walk away the pounds, walk circles in your house - whatever extra movement you LIKE to do is the one you should do. If he wants you to walk so badly, I hope he's willing to walk WITH you!! (most exercise is more fun with a buddy).

Tao bo burns more calories than walking. Walking burns about 50 net calories per mile so most people would have to walk for 40 minutes to burn 100 calories. Tao bo burns about 250-350 for 30 min.
I see this as a big issue for adults. We've lost our sense of play and we have turned "working out" and "exercising" into this narrow, pre-set list of activities, most of which most of us don't even like to do! So, to many people, if you don't do it in a gym, it doesn't count. If there isn't a machine or a DVD involved, it doesn't count.
At least your husband counts walking.
