LOL, I'm totally using this event as an excuse to get a new little digital camera that will fit comfortably in my pocket!

In case you didn't hear my story. My first marathon was the Disney marathon. I bought one of those micro cameras down at Disney, but thought I lost it before the race started when I made a pit stop. After the marathon, when I was sitting to enjoy a meal, I felt an object between me and the chair, and lo and behold there was a camera in my butt. Didn't take a single picture while I was running, and obviously I didn't have any gastric distress during the event. Camera still works!

Are  there any other Goofy plans besides Galloway's? I look at his half-marathon plan and I didn't like it.

I don't know if anyone else has a plan for the Goofy,

But there are others that have Marathon plans

The two I find the most when looking are
Galloway
and
Hal Higdon

Not a fan of Hal Higdon. Galloway is big on the whole run/walk thing and I think that's an okay strategy but not one I want to employ once I'm no longer injured.

I talked to my tri coach about it and I think I'm going to just continue to wing it like I've been doing all along.

Our group is doing a run-focused program right now that I will get more serious about when I recover from IMC that he's using to get ready for the American River 50 in April. It should work for Goofy as well and we've talked about how to modify it -- more days of running in a row and stuff.

I'm actually thinking about doing the AR50 too. Am I insane??

Insanity can be a good thing when it is properly focused. I think it's awesome when people take on what I consider impossible challenges, and then they make them happen. And if it doesn't big deal. You still get in all that great training, plus probably meet some incredible people along the way.

You could probably do a search for an Ultra training plan that would server you well.
