Today was my long run day. So I set out on a planned 9-10 miles. Felt so good at the half mar****pt going ended up with a solid 12 under my belt, at an 11:00 minute mile pace. This was my first double digit run.

Enjoying me some I've now.

How are you starting your weekend.

Originally wanted 2-2.5 hours in the saddle, but it was thankfully raining! So, I swam 1000M in 16:58, then did spin class, and followed that with a 7:01 minute mile brick. Have a good weekend yall . Taper rules!!!

I've seen a couple of you mention a "brick" run.  What is that?

Brick runs are a triathlon or duathalon training session. The brick is training 2 of the events back to back as they would occur in the race.

So the brick would be cycle for x time or miles then go straight into your run with possibly a short transition between the 2.

For a tri you can also do a swim to bike brick and for a duathalon you can do a run to bike brick. They are a pretty awesome workout and will really show you what you can do with some effort.

Thank you.  Maybe one day.  I've never really been able to run but keep saying I am going to attempt spin classes at the gym.  I've never had gread endurance so I am almost afraid I will be embarrassed but I know I need to push myself to get fit.
