I agree! I think it has improved my pace and saved me from injury! Good way to look at it.

Its been stupid in OH as well ....but at least no treadmill for me , my ymca has a short indoor track (9 laps for a mile) overlooking the pool which can sometimes make things dangerous

Wow! Your YMCA sounds great! Ours is super old and they're trying to raise money to build a new high-tech one. I can't wait! Enjoy the distraction of the swimmers and be careful!
