Help for sore muscles??? PLEASE!
I am not an expert on this but what helps me is using a foam roller and epsom salt baths. You can buy a foam roller at Target for $20, I heard about them from people on this board and it really helps! I get lavender scented epsom salts and soak in a warm tub if I am sore. Make sure you have enough water as well.

RICE works for soreness and pain, but you need to learn the difference. If it is soreness and not pain then enjoy it, it means you are doing something and it is working. If it is pain then it is your body saying you over did it or something isn't right.

what paul said, soreness will last a couple of days if you are starting out with something new or really hitting it harder than normal. once your body adapts, you experience soreness much less.
Where are we going?? And why am I in this handbasket??
right now. somewhere. somebody is working harder than you.

All good suggestions! The first time I worked out with a trainer, I could barely walk for a week and sitting on the toilet was torture. It got easier every time after. And now, if I'm not sore, I'm not working hard enough!!

Courage is not always a lion's roar. Sometimes, it is a small voice at the end of the day saying I will try again tomorrow.

Keep at it and the day may come where you dread not being able to feel the soreness or get in a solid workout.

You get sore whenever you do something you're not used to. I change workouts all the time so...I'm sore all the time.
1. Hot tubs are great.
2. Walking helps me to relieve some lower back or leg soreness. Just gets the blood flowing. More blood means means faster recovery.
3. I do feeder workouts. Short, low sets, light weight, high reps workouts on off days or 1 or 2 days after my heavy workout. Again...gets to blood flowing, stretches out the muscle and really decreases the soreness.
