I am wondering I am taking a class tonight at 7pm we are going outside for a total body one hour workout.  I am wondering I get off at 5pm do I eat first or after???

Thanks just found this board and just restarting my work out journey.

If it were me, I'd need a snack at least to make it through the workout, but i usually eat lunch between 12-1 so I couldn't make it until 8 with no food and a workout.

I'd go by your hunger. But you probably want to eat at least 30 min. before and some people need to wait as long as 2 hours or they get a tummy ache. So think about how hungry you are at 5pm and decide from there if you can get through the workout and get home without fainting or otherwise being totally miserable.

it also depends on time of day, planned length of the workout, and planned intensity.  it will include a lot of trial and error.  there have been studies that are proponents of eating before a workout to lessen muscle loss during cardio.  i will typically eat 200 to 300 calories before a workout anywhere from 1 hour to 30 minutes prior to hitting it.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

I get attacks of hypoglycemia so a small protein and carb like a string cheese and a whole wheat cracker or two before and lots of water helps me.
