things you can do to reduce skin
Unfortunately MrsZoe,
Not a thing except what will naturally rebound and plastic surgery.
You can build back some muscle to replace the fat that was there, and that will reduce the way the skin hangs a bit, but skin isn't a muscle so you can't exercise it.
Things that can have an effect, how long you were overweight, how much you were overweight, and your age as well as genetic disposition.
I have a lady in my local support group whose skin almost completely rebounded and she has almost no sagging skin. But everyone else in our group has it and plastic surgery has been the only fix. That or tight compression clothes to hold it in place.
Good luck,
Scott

Scott speaks the truth. Some people will say that using moisturizer, cocoa butter, etc will help. I know they won't hurt, but there is no scientific evidence that they make any difference in loose skin like ours.
I did find that some things improved with time... at 2 years out my breasts perked up and filled out to the point where I don't feel they look odd anymore. At 2 years, plenty of women have already had plastics, and I feel like some patience might have saved them money (or might not, I might have just gotten lucky).
Good luck with your journey!

I've also had improvement over time. But two years seems to be the point where it stopped. I still feel like I will need PS but not as much or in as many areas as I thought when I first got to goal.

I'm with MacMadame....after 2 years my skin has rebounded as much as it will. I have great muscle tone now, but still a fair amount of skin. I suspect in a perfect world I'd have a LBL...but I'm just too chicken, don't want to part with the money, and I really don't want the extended down time from exercising.....I'm afraid it would be too hard to get back to where I am physically.

In June last year I had extended tummy tuck, pubic lift, chest reconstruction, and hernia repair and 3.5 months later I completed a FULL Ironman. So, you will be down for a bit, but will regain fitness quickly, and the results are well worth the $, time, and pain IMHO... It's all good.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I suspect there will be some skin but I am not trying to be perfect. PS is extreme for me. I guess I will see how I feel a while after goal. I guess I only have a couple of days till surgery and you start thinking of all the reasons not to have it. :( I can't chicken out now though my hubby won't let me this process took a year, and he is not having a "quitter" in his family. (Military guy turns into drill sgt. the moment I suggest quitting) How annoying but helpful urrgh..lol
