8.5 mile run in 1:29

I was set to do a 7 mile run but figured I what set my alerts for 3.5 miles and another for 45min and depending how I felt at 3.5 I would either turnback and do the 7 or continue until the 45min and then turn back.  Wasn't my fastest pace times but was my longest run with no walking to date.  On my way back I hit what used to be my turn around point when I first started this exercise thing and was able to get a renewed energy for a strong finish.

Nice one Paul

I did a quick 50 mile bike ride with a 2 mile brick run, now getting ready for a date afternoon/evening with my hubby, we have not been out on a date together in mid June.

I got up early and ran with a friend; around 3 miles. An hour later my sister asked me to go for a walk so I went on a brisk hilly 3 mile walk too; all before 9 AM. It is nice to get back into my near daily exercise habit since my hubby came back from Kuwait last week. It is hard being a "single" mom, working full time plus outside of the home and keeping up with DD activities. I could of done better while he was gone, I know others manage to "do it all".

Had to cut my run short today and limit it to 5-miles. Too much happening on the Eagles forefront to stay away from the news for more than an hour. Football is back, and the Eagles have all the headlines!

Well I started out doing a 50 mile training session for the upcoming Savannah Century, but after I blew through 100 oz of fluid, a couple of pieces of ham, and some granola, and hit the high noon mark I had to stop at 42.

The sun was beating my A$$ down. The hills rocked my world, so I decided to finish healthy instead of pushing too much it is my longest ride to date, and my wife who truly loves me  said "realize that you have only been riding a little over a month, and not every day."

I take away from it knowing that on the flats of Savannah, I have the juice to finish the race.

So anyone have an answer as to how I am going to get over the bridge in Savannah, since I am terrified of heights. LMAO.As I remember it has some good height to it, and relatively long.

So in conclusion, 42 mile ride in 3:31 hrs:min. With some breaks

The bridge in Savannah has a huge concrete sidewall, so it is really safe. People here ride it every weekend. Its moderately steep, so you can just put the bike in a low gear and spin up it, going down it sure looks fun!

with only riding for a month, that is pretty great time bro.  I know finances are always limited, but if I were to start over, the one thing I would do is make sure my bike is geared right.  A compact crank has made a huge difference for me spinning up hills.  Don't be bashful about gearing down and spinning.  Right now I am running a compact crank with an 11-28 cassette.  I hve a super granny gear and I'm not afraid to use it!  :)

60 mile ride.  Coach had me down for 120, but I need to tone it down a bit.  Felt great to only do 60, mentally and physically.  Tomorrow hopefully I'll feel up to a big training day.

Awesome ride. I bow to you my friend. I really do hope someday I can hit close to those numbers and really nice ride again.
