Walking/jogging/running
Is it bad that I walk fast instead of run or jog?
I did 3 miles on the treadmill usually at 3.0 pace sometimes I bump it up to 4 and jog a little. I have short legs my stride is smaller than average. I get my heart rate up pretty good usually around 140 for at a min of 60 mins
Somedays I walk for time and some days I walk for distance.
Any thoughts?
I never even exercised before this is pretty big for me - under couch potato in the dictionary was a pic of me. Now you can find me under inspired lol

Nope it's not bad.
You can always work towards increasing it. Plan big, start small. Your ticker says you have lost 39 pounds, give it time, as more weight comesoff and more time is spent walking/jogging/running it will get easier to run.
When I started 4 mph was my max, then it was 5, now it's 6 or 7 depending on the course. I'm still slow compared to many of the people here, but now I find it hard to run at 5mph I naturally want to go faster. I can run longer at 5mph, but it almost feels like cheating and my body doesn't want to do it at that pace.
Just keep on moving, and you will see the benefits.
