I need advice on some good leg exercises please!
If someone is serious and working out at the gym doing leg exercises, will the legs ever look normal again after WLS? My biggest fear is having a lot of lose skin on my legs. The stomach is not that big of deal because I would like to get the LBL after surgery. I have seen people’s pictures on OH that had this procedure and they look great, but seem to have a lot of jiggle skin left on their legs. I am very out of shape, so I have been rotating between my TM and a elliptical my husband’s friend gave us. I can only do 7 mins on it, and 10 on the TM. My goal is after I am cleared from WLS is to do water aerobics 3 days a week, and weight lifting the other 2 or 3 days.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Before I got so heavy, I used to love going to the gym and using the machines. I would follow a routine from BodyBuilers.com.
Thanks again,
Crissie
Working out will tone your muscles, not your skin. There isn't really a way to prevent loose skin, but if it bothers you too much, there are procedures/plastics for that as well as the stomach.
Congrats on getting started with working out.

You don't mention how old you are or how much weight you need to lose which plays a part in how much loose skin you have. I think the younger you are the more resilient your skin is and the less you might have. However, everyone is different and some people will have loose skin no matter what you do. My legs were always on the bigger side even 20+ years ago when I was at a normal weight. Now that I'm back down to my normal weight, my legs are still on the big side. I just don't think there is any hope except exercising.
