What does your surgeon say? And what kind of work out?

I am allowed to resume full activities at 6 weeks post-op, but I've been walking since I was 3 weeks out. Take some time to heal before you worry too much about working out,

I was cleared to do "anything I want" at 3 weeks out. I was okay with simple cardio but my core didn't "want" to do any hard core workouts until about 2 months out. Plus, most of us have lifting restrictions for at least 6 weeks post-op to avoid hernias.

I started walking in the hospital and went back to the gym at 2 weeks out to ride the stationary bike. I started a running program at 1 month out.
