i'm now on week three post op and walking around the block. what used to take 30 minutes is now 20. i'm not walking that fast, or am i?  i put on my pedometer, put in my headphones and on with my skechers shapeups.  in 15 days i've lost a total of 26lbs and feeling great. is it too early to start with my jazzercise album or just walk with my weights (2lbs)?

I would def consult with your surgeon before starting the Jazzercise....

congrats on your progress so far, awesome job!  definitely consult with your medical team prior to adding anything above walking at this point.  i personally wasn't cleared for all exercise until after 6 weeks, some docs follow different plans.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

Most docs say to wait 6 weeks before trying strenous workouts.  You don't want to pull stitches or damage anything internally, or develop scar tissue on your incisions.

Dr. Coirin was my surgeon too...Great guy.  He is of the thought of waiting 6 weeks before any serious training.  Let the healing continue.  Walk, sip, sleep...Pretty boring stuff.  I know how you're climbing the walls.  Give it time and you'll be whipping that jazzercise album into oblivion!!
