Just bought new running shoes at lunch today--tried on about 8 pairs, and ended up with Saucony.....can't wait to take 'em out!!!

Used to wear New Balance, but I finally went & got fitted and they recommended Brooks.  I LOVE them.  I'll never wear anything else.  I got one pair for "everyday" because they're so comfortable, and another pair for running.

FYI:  I have wide feet and practically no arch & I wear custom orthotics, but the Brooks seem to fit well. Worth the $, in my opinion.

Also worth getting fitted (free service) at a good running store.  A good person will watch your gait, look to see if your knee is aligned with your ankle, etc. and recommend a good shoe for your foot & gait.

I have wide, flat feet too.  What model Brooks did you get?  I'm just wearing some Nike's that I got for Christmas right now but might upgrade soon.

Thanks!

For J's Skinny Mom:

My everyday Brooks:  Dyad

My running Brooks:  Ariel

Both are good for running, but the Dyad had a little less rigid structure & felt good for everyday, so I got them for that.

Hope this helps!

I like to buy Dream Pairs walking shoes, in part because they stock many sizes up to 15 or larger, and up to 4E or 6E in width.I usually buy those either from Amazon U.S. (save pairs I like to a wish list where I can keep track of their pricing changes) or from a dream pairs official store:https://www.dreampairshoes.com,Amazon has pretty regular sales on their shoes, including women, men
