Howdy,

I am so excited. I climbed the Manitou Incline in Colorado and made it all the way to the top. For those of you that do not know about this places here is a link with information http://www.colorado-springs-vacation.com/colorado-springs-hi king-trails-difficult.html

I did over 2000 steps and climbed one mile at a a sometimes 61% grade with an approximate 2011 feet elevation change from bottom to top. I walked back down Barr trail ( about 2.5 miles). Although I did get sore, it was not that bad. I could still move around the next day.

During the hike a woman stated that they wish that they were in as good a shape as me. WTH. Me the one that could not breathe going up a single flight of stairs in a building a little less than a year ago.

This shows I am not just thinner I am healthier. Okay okay I will stop bragging now. I am just so friggen proud of myself. And the bonus... As of today I have lost 100 lbs since my surgery last September while improving (not losing) my muscle tone.

Thanks to everyone here for saying to make sure you incorporate exercise early on. Also, thanks to whomever stated resistance bands were the way to go.

Hey Ms.Desertdoll,

Congrats! This is such an awesome feat! Throughout the week I thought to myself "WOW, that's inspiring!"

All the time and hard work you put into exercise each week has really paid off!

Thanks for recommending this board and passing along the resistance bands suggestion.
