What an awesome week I had.. I had no freaking idea how hard it was going to be to stay on an ironman training plan while on a beach vacation with the family.  Th idea of getting up at 6am to do a 20 mile run or a 100 mile ride seemed ok the night before, but my go**** had to be hte hardest workouts of my life.  But today I finished my first century, biking from the northern lighthouse in corolla to the lighthouse in Hatteras, and back.. 101 miles, in about 90 degree heat and high humidity, and big winds in my face for half.  What a glorious feeling.  And the upside is, I have 2700 calories to play with tonight on vacation :)
