TGIF workouts :)
Rest day, but a productive one. Drove 2 hours to a tri shop in Hilton Head Island to get my bike broken down to the frame, it only took the guy 1 hour (all the bike shops in Savannah told me it would take a week to break it down to the frame). Then dropped the frame and fork off in Savannah to the artist. The artist is posting periodic updates on facebook of the progress, as of now he has already sanded the old paint off and applied the coat of primer, so tomorrow he will do the 3 coats of color all over the bike and paint my graphic on it, after all that is dry the top polyurethane clear coat goes on. I pick up the completed frame and fork on Tuesday and then back to Hilton Head Island so they can put my bike back together. Really glad we were able to work all this out, I really wanted the new paint for Muncie 70.3 next weekend. Tomorrow morning I am doing a 2.4 mile open water swim race, but I will be more "surviving" than "racing".

Swam around Santa Cruz pier. My Garmin said I did 1.4 miles in 41 minutes but I have trouble believing that. I suspect it was more like 1.2 miles.
