how do you approach another wls person?

I agree - just chat and make friends and you can mention you just joined because you wanted to start working out after your WLS. That will open the door for you.

Its nice to have people to talk to about it. My good friend is one of the main reasons I had the surgery - I saw how active she is, she's kept off her weight for 5 years, and she is so happy....its nice to spread the word.

casual conversation without any directed questions is the best way to go about it...if you have some flabby arms..you may say "I wish I could tone up my arms"..I have this extra flab because of WLS surgery.

if she doesn't respond or offer any continued conversation...it is what it is..NOT everyone is open or wants to discuss their surgery etc with strangers.

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss. 

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!
